Caller log viewer - program Copyright 1992 Matt Messier
This caller log viewing program was intended to replace PCBoard 14.5's PCBMoni
command on the call waiting menu. For those of you that run a one node system,
now you can take advantage of that command.
Installation
------------
Installation is a very simple process that should take you no longer than 5
minutes to complete. I have outlined it in 4 easy steps.
1) Rename PCBMoni.EXE in your PCB directory to something else.
2) UnZip my PCBMoni.EXE into your PCB directory.
3) Create a file called PCBMoni.Cnf. In this file, there should be one line.
This line contains the path and name of your caller log file.
(ex. C:\PCB\MAIN\CALLER1)
4) Edit your PCBTEXT file with MKTXT145 and modify records 515 and 530 to the
following:
515: View Caller Log
530: View the caller log without logging into the system.
That's it. Now from the call waiting menu, you can select the old PCBMoni
selection to view your caller log without logging onto the system.
Operation
---------
The program will start your caller log at the end of the file. It displays
21 lines on the screen at a time. If your caller log has fewer than 21
entries, the program will abort and not display them. While in the program,
there are 7 operational keys. They are as follows:
ESC - Exit the program and return to PCB
HOME - Jump to the first record in the file
UP - Move up one record
PGUP - Move up 21 records
END - Jump to the end of the file
DOWN - Move down one record
PGDN - Move down 21 records
Other Information
-----------------
There really isn't much you need to know about the program because it
relatively simple to use. But... just so you know
1) I can be reached for support at 401-725-5465. 1200/2400 bps only
2) If you'd like, you can send money to
Matt Messier
3 Loring Drive
Lincoln, RI 02865
Registration is not required. It has no effect one way or another if you
do or don't send money but I figure I might as well through my address in
there anyhow <Grin>
3) Thanks for trying another Matt Messier production!
